I’ve watched all of the impeachment proceedings, and I have remaining questions.
1. There are said to be thousands of insurrectionists. How many were inside the Capitol?
2. How is it possible that at least hundreds of heavily armed, angry, crazy insurrectionists did not manage to find Mike Pence or any lawmakers? How is that possible? We know they were plotting this for days on social media, sharing maps of the huge and complicated Capitol Complex. How is it possible that they didn’t find any lawmakers? It must have been divine intervention. The Capitol is very big, but it’s not THAT big.
3. What’s the full story about how the mob retreated after five hours? Trump eventually tweeted that they should go home, but why?
After all these hours of brilliant exposition by my saintly congressman Jamie Raskin, we still know only part of this. I hope there will be newspaper investigations and official commissions for years to come.
